The short answer: Dallas-Fort Worth led the US in corporate headquarters relocations again in 2025. Of 164 HQ moves nationwide, 11 came to DFW from other states or countries, more than any other metro (Bisnow, citing CBRE). 2026 has brought more: Samsung Electronics America, Public Storage, and Six Flags have all announced moves here.
For GTM candidates, that's the opening. A new headquarters often means new or rebuilt sales leadership, partnerships, customer success, and RevOps teams.
One honest caveat: overall DFW job growth is modest right now. The metro added about 24,200 jobs year over year as of February 2026, roughly 0.6% (UT Dallas). This isn't a hiring boom across the board. The opportunity is concentrated in specific companies, and that's who you should be targeting.

Why this is good news for GTM candidates
When a company moves its headquarters, not everyone comes with it. KFC, for example, moved about 100 Louisville staff to Plano. Whoever doesn't relocate gets replaced locally, and commercial roles are often the first to be backfilled.
Here's where that tends to show up:
- Sales leadership. A new HQ often means a new or rebuilt sales org. That creates manager and director openings, not just rep seats.
- Partnerships and channel. Samsung and Six Flags both run large partner and sponsorship businesses. Those teams sit close to headquarters.
- Customer success. Pluralsight's announcement specifically named a new customer hub in Westlake and called out customer success as an area of investment.
- RevOps. A move is a reset moment. Companies rebuild systems, territories, and comp plans, and they need operators who can do it.
- High-volume sales. GEICO and Pennymac are adding inside sales and loan sales seats at scale. These are solid entry points if you're trying to break into sales or move off an SDR team that's shrinking.
The timing matters too. Six Flags moves in 2027, and AT&T's new campus opens from 2028. Companies start hiring local leadership well before the move date, so the early roles go to people who are already in their network.
How to get in early
- Follow the move, not the job board. Set alerts for each company's careers page and its sales and partnerships leaders on LinkedIn. Openings often get filled through referrals before they're posted.
- Lead with your DFW network. A relocating company doesn't know the local market. If you know Dallas buyers, partners, or customers in their space, say so in your first message.
- Target the leaders who are moving. Executives who relocate usually need to build a local team fast. A short, specific note to them can beat a cold application.
- Get your numbers ready. Have your quota attainment, deal sizes, and ramp time ready to share. New sales leaders hire on proof.
- Talk to a recruiter who knows the market. Many of these roles go through search firms first, especially leadership seats.
FAQ
Which companies are moving to Dallas in 2026?
Recent announcements include Samsung Electronics America (Plano), Public Storage (Frisco), Six Flags (Arlington, moving in 2027), CG Oncology (Dallas), and H&MV Engineering (Dallas). AT&T is also building a new HQ campus in Plano.
Is Dallas a good place for sales jobs?
DFW has led the US in headquarters relocations, with more than 100 since 2018 (GlobeSt, citing CBRE). That steady flow of headquarters means more sales leadership and partnerships roles than most metros.
Is DFW hiring right now?
Selectively. Metro-wide job growth was about 0.6% year over year as of February 2026, and the Dallas Fed forecasts 1.7% Texas job growth for 2026 (Dallas Fed). The best openings are at the specific companies growing here.
