I was born in Glendale, Arizona as a military kid, with stops in Utah, Germany, and eventually South Texas. Dallas became home when I came to SMU for college, and aside from two meaningful stints in Waco and Greenville, South Carolina, this city has been my home ever since. Waco left a lasting mark, Sic ’em Bears. It is also where God pulled off some divine matchmaking. I met my wife Laura because her brother was a student of mine, saw an opportunity to improve his financial accounting grade by playing matchmaker. He nailed it.
My career has been built around people, leadership, and growth. I have spent years advising founders, coaching leaders, and helping companies make pivotal hires. At Pursuit, I get to do what I love most, build relationships, champion great talent, and help high-growth companies win by getting the right people in the right seats. I care deeply about making hiring human, thoughtful, and transformational, not rushed or transactional.
My faith is central to who I am, and I try to lead with humility, gratitude, and a little humor along the way. I am passionate about mentoring young professionals, and when I am not working, which is rare because recruiters are never really off, I am with Laura and our three kids, Briggs, Liv, and Griffin. You will usually find us at the YMCA working out, playing pickleball, or cheering from the sidelines as our kids chase whatever sport or passion is in season.
